I am still hoping. I have lost interest in the news/media as there is nothing new really on the political scene. I can only say that SADC should bury their heads in the sand for allowing the situation in Zimbabwe continue in the way it is right now. Perhaps they should try to listen to Botswana - bottom line is the whole region is going down the drain. If not politically then surely cholera will do it for you.

Pitso thinks aloud and says this ... It is up to us South Africans to search within our souls and ask very difficult questions about the direction that this country is heading to. It is up to each individual to really ask; “is this the democracy that we longed for?”. All those who love this country know that whatever is brewing under the surface cannot be allowed to boil over; this country is way too precious. Let us walk into next years elections with our minds open about who should lead us, let us make a statement in the way we elect our local leaders; let us demand excellence from them. Let us at provincial level demand change, never ceasing to demand the best that we deserve from those we entrust with our future. May God help us as we seek to redefine ourselves as a nation! ..... - Pitso I am a Zimbabwean who can now only wish. Wish that we had voiced differently when we had the small chance. Now we don't even have the right to voice freely. I could go on. Fellow South Africans, if truly a South African, do not run away. Embrace the freedom that you have now and put it to good use. I only try to amplify the words of Pitso as he as said it all. Fellow Zimbabweans, in this time of darkness, were we know not what our future holds, let us not lose hope. Another free Zimbabwe shall come. It may not be tomorrow but surely it shall come.

Tsvangirai´s pull out of the elections is one that is not very surprising to me. My only concern is that for an ordinary Zimbabwean, more hopelessness sets in. What are we the ordinary Zimbabweans to do? At least with the election one could say my clear job is to vote and help oust Mugabe. What now? While I think I understand the polical strategy being adopted by MDC, I think it solely relies on the international community, especially the SADC countries to step up to the plate. It however remains to be seen that the SADC will truly come out forcefully and condemn the clear human rights violation and more happening in Zim. So far I believe it has not done enough. The few days following the March 29 elections was the best time that the SADC could have fully nailed Mugabe, but again that is if they where truly willing to help. Instead, they let bob´s tyranny to go on for another 2-3 months. More beating, more killings. A country clearly run by the army to my mind.

The mind of the electorate is now so fixed against Mugabe that if he were to contest against a donkey in the run-off, the donkey would win by a landslide not because anyone would vote for it, but simply because people would vote against Mugabe. - Jonathan Moyo I think MDC should have nothing to fear really. Rather pick it up from where they left off and finish the job. This is our time!
